A Beautiful New Workplace at Rotherwick House

We worked with leading architects, Orbit Architects to create an amazing new home for ESCA at Rotherwick House, a Grade II Listed Georgian building, adjacent to Thomas More Sq. and the vibrant St. Katherine’s Dock, home to numerous bars and restaurants.

Rotherwick House - ESCA Estates

Rotherwick House is situated on a private cobbled courtyard and will be home to several representative trade bodies including ECA and BESA, who together make up ESCA and whose members work across a series of building trades.

The 20,000 Sq. Ft space is comprised of three levels including beautiful arched windows, exposed brickwork in some areas and a spectacular mezzanine area with an abundance of natural light that looks over lower ground level.

Our team worked closely with Orbit Architects to select furniture that reflected not only the client brief but also the character and aesthetic of the building itself. There are dedicated open plan working areas, open and colourful break out spaces where team can collaborate and conduct informal meetings.

To support a more flexible and agile way of working, there is also a variety of work settings where staff can choose to work depending on the task at hand. These spaces include a suite of differently sized meeting rooms, a selection of soundproof acoustic booths from Framery Q and open collaborative booths from Boss Design that are equipped with screens to facilitate presentations and screen-sharing.

There are additional informal breakout spaces located on two levels that are furnished with soft seating options that offer excellent views out to a beautiful outdoor area, complete with a water feature. The tea points are also tastefully decorated with tall stools and long tables with Frovi seating available for staff to use when grabbing a tea or coffee, having their lunch or simply taking a break and catching up with colleagues.

The new space is truly spectacular and provides the various representative bodies with a fantastic new work environment that staff love working in and that can also  facilitate future growth.
