Office Refurbishment for Cripplegate Foundation
K2 Space was engaged to design and refurbish the Cripplegate Foundation’s office space, which is located in the North of the City and measures 4,000 sq ft. The foundation has a long-standing reputation for supporting the poor and needy in the Islington area, with a history that dates back to the 16th century. Given the foundation’s heritage and the nature of their work, it was important for K2 Space to create a design that reflected their values and supported their vision for the space.
A Design that Brings Warmth and Comfort
The brief from the client called for a design that would provide a warm and comfortable workspace for their employees and other charity businesses, with ample room for collaboration and co-working spaces. K2 Space’s Design Director, Chris Alldred, took on the challenge of developing a design that would bring colour and vibrancy to the space, while still maintaining a balanced and flexible workspace.
Design Elements that Enhance the Workspace
The design incorporated a range of elements that added warmth and comfort to the workspace, including eclectic coloured chairs and seating, biophilic crate shelving, and other elements that brought natural textures and colours into the space.
A Successful Refurbishment
The refurbishment was completed across the ground and lower floors of the office space and was well received by the client. Additionally, the refurbished space allowed the foundation to create serviced offices that other charity businesses could use, which would help support their mission and vision for the community. Our design and refurbishment for the Cripplegate Foundation successfully met the client’s brief, creating a vibrant and comfortable workspace that reflected their values and supported their work in the Islington area.
