The Cripplegate Foundation has long heritage in supporting the poor and needy in the Islington area. Established in 1500 it was developed from donations to the Church of St. Giles Without Cripplegate. Today, 521 years later, it still reliant on the generosity and stewardship of those supporting it.
As a tenant in the Islington area, this is a project that meant a great deal to us. We wanted the office space to reflect the good work that Cripplegate does for the community in an agile workspace that allowed for collaboration and co-working spaces . We gave the workplace a new sense of warmth and comfort, from eclectic coloured chairs and seating to biophilic crate shelving. Our response to Cripplegate’s brief offered a new design and refurbishment that brought colour and vibrancy to their office space, as well as the serviced offices for use by other charity businesses.
Our Design Director, Chris Alldred, came up with a refreshing vibrant design that the client loved. The result of the refurbishment was a balanced, flexible workspace with ample room for creativity and collaborative discussion across their existing 4,000 sq/ft office space; including the ground and lower floor
