From Vision to Reality: A Workspace Designed to Inspire
With a growing team and evolving ways of working, this global innovation institute needed more than just extra space, it needed a workplace that would reflect its forward-thinking culture, attract top talent and help create the everyday moments of connection that power breakthrough thinking.
K2 Space was appointed as lead designer and FF&E procurement partner across this project, from concept through to completion. Our challenge was to reimagine a multi-floor environment that combined the sharp professionalism of a corporate HQ with the comfort and character of a hospitality space and deliver it at pace, without compromise on quality.

Designing for Connection, Comfort and Culture
Every design decision was guided by the client’s ambition to create a workplace where innovation could thrive, not just in formal settings but in the in-between moments too.
The layout intentionally encouraged collision meetings, casual run-ins and impromptu conversations in corridors. The teapoints became design features in their own right, places where people could pause, gather and recharge. A warm palette of natural materials was used to soften the corporate edges, combining Scandi design with a residential feel.
The space is built of many subtle zones such as collaborative areas where teams could meet informally, quieter areas for deep work and elegant executive offices. Throughout, we curated each space and selected finishes to reflect a classic-contemporary aesthetic, establishing a confident and timeless style.

Reception as a Statement of Intent
Visitors arriving at the space are met with a high-impact reception, a refined front-of-house environment that sets the tone of the rest of the building. It communicates clarity, purpose, and attention to detail, acting as both a welcome and a statement. Biophilia, natural textures and carefully considered lighting were all used to create a sense of calm professionalism.
This area became a centre piece of the new building, designed to hold guests while allowing the brand’s identity to speak for itself.

Created with Purpose, Delivered with Precision
As lead design team, we developed the spatial strategy, interior design scheme and FF&E specification. From the early concept visuals to supplier procurement, our team handled every aspect of the furniture curation and install.
We worked in close coordination with contractors and client teams to meet a tight delivery timeline, maintaining design integrity throughout. Our approach was hands-on, flexible and responsive to adjust to evolving priorities while protecting the initial vision.

Embedding Sustainability and Human-Centric Thinking
As the project progressed, sustainability became a defining focus. We introduced low-impact materials, prioritised furniture with longevity and repairability while maximising natural light and air circulation.
Biophilic elements were layered in, not just for aesthetics, but to support wellbeing and comfort across the working day. From material selection to spatial rhythm, the entire environment was designed with the people in mind, both those already part of the organisation and those it hopes to attract in the future.

A Workplace That Reflects the Future of Work
This was more than a fit out. It was a strategic, people-first transformation that was designed to elevate how the client works, connects and presents itself to the world.
At every step, K2 Space led with intention, creating a space that balances collaboration and focus, structure and warmth, legacy and modernity. The result is a sophisticated, high-functioning environment that empowers its people, attracts new talent and represents the brand.
